I know I'm a day late in getting these predictions out but I still need to get them out. Here are my thoughts on how the MLB postseason will go.
Astros over Red Sox
Yankees over Indians
Astros over Yankees
Dodgers over Diamondbacks
Nationals over Cubs
Nationals over Dodgers
Nationals over Astros
Is it just me or has OJ Simpson being realized from prison not been covered very much by the news and media the past week? I would have thought that him being realized from prison would have been a huge news story for networks to cover but I hardly heard anything about it all week. I think I heard one time that he was out golfing one day and heard one quick soundbite he gave about "nothing changing" since he's been in prison.
I mean, you can hardly go online or watch television without knowing what the Kardashian family is doing or what some other celebrities are eating or dating these days. I would have expected wall-to-wall coverage of OJ's post-prison live and movements. His trials were the biggest thing going in the media for years and was even made into successful and entertaining TV shows and documentaries. No one cares about his release now?
Not that I'm really complaining about it either, it just strikes me as odd.
Huge, Huge, Huge, Huge, HUGE news coming out of WWE yesterday. After years of hope, speculation, and teasing; WWE has decided to bring back the War Games match! For NXT TakeOver on November 18th, the night before the Survivor Series, WWE will bring back the War Games structure for the first War Games match in almost 20 years.
This has been a talking point for many WWE fans for years and always felt like a pipe dream. A concept that WWE was going to let lay dormant because it was a "WCW idea" and not one of their own. Glad to see this match get brought back and introduced again in the WWE. Hopefully a solid showing in NXT might get the ball rolling for this come to the main roster or, maybe it just becomes a NXT staple. I wouldn't mind seeing War Games always be apart of the NXT TakeOver show during Survivor Series weekend.
I think their may be spoilers out there already on this but I've tried to avoid them thus far, but I'm not sure who the teams will be for this. I'd assume it's a 5-on-5 match. It would make sense for it to be the new Ring of Honor crew to take on the established NXT crew but Fish, O'Reily, and Cole are only three guys. They'd have to recruit or pick up two new guys to fill out a roster. That would be the route I'd guess they go but I'm not sure you want to add to that faction already. So maybe it's just Cole vs. McIntyre for the belt at NXT TakeOver and then a separate War Games match without them.
Either way, really looking forward to this match now. I do know it's one of those matches where the idea of the match is often more enjoyable than the match itself, but I don't care. I'm all in on this.
