Almost didn't get a Three Count posted today since we had our District tennis meet this morning and afternoon. Just going to post a real quick Three Count today though to still pump some content out to my audience. I guess the new trend in sports media is apparently to take some days off now and then and only schedule things on a bi-whatever basis. But not going to do that here, I'm grittier than that. So as long as there is sports, or television, or pop culture, or wrestling, or politics, or something to talk about, I'll get a blog out covering it.
Speaking of District tennis, our high school season came to an end today at the high school District meet in Norwalk. The Comets were unable to send anyone to the State Tournament this year. Proud of our girls this year. With this being our first year with actual tennis courts they made great strides across the board. I know it's cliched to say we made improvements from our #1 player to our #23 player, but I'm not above making cliched statements. I thought all of our girls really improved this year and more importantly were a great group of girls to coach. Great personalities, a lot of fun, and a group of respectful young women. Bout to go all Paul Rhoads here but I'm proud to be their coach.
And with that being said, a little bit of breaking news here. My next sport on the coaching schedule will be.......
9th Grade Girls Basketball
I officially signed a contract to be the 9th grade girls basketball coach at North Polk. My first experience with girls basketball at any level. Should be exciting.
And I've been on his case recently so a quick shout-out to the President for not doing anything, at least publicly, to make national headlines pointing out his incompetence yesterday. He was 2 for 2 days this week, thought he may go for the weekly sweep. First it was giving sensitive information to Russia and then it was Comey-gate. Wednesday was a pretty tame day. Those are few and far between these days so that was great to see.
