Season debut for the North Polk Girls Tennis team today, provided the rain stays away from the area. Not only is it the season opener for our girls it's the first meet player on our new tennis courts! After not having tennis courts that we could host tennis meets at since the school was built, today we finally get to host a home tennis meet at North Polk. Big day for our program.
Born Ready is heading back to Indiana!
Being a big Lance Stephenson fan and a Pacers fan, this is big news for me. I loved Lance when he was a Pacer. I know that's probably not a shared view by all Pacers fans but I loved him and am glad to have him back. Not sure if he'll be able to reach the level he was at before he left Indiana but if he can get to 75% of that this will be a solid pick up for the Pacers.
The problem for the Pacers right now is they may need more than just a solid pick up. They are struggling right now, and really have been all season. They are currently in the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race but that's not exactly a huge accomplishment. Sitting at 37-38 overall, it could be danger time for the organization really quick. That's an embarrassingly poor record for a team with a legitimate superstar like Paul George on their roster. And, with his free agency quickly approaching I'm not sure you could blame him for wanting to leave a small market team that is struggling to put quality pieces around him. He may need to leave while he still has years left in his prime.
That's not great news for Indiana.
Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton
I've really enjoyed this build-up, all the way from Randy joining the Wyatt family to this point heading into WrestleMania. It's been a masterfully done long-term storyline. My only complaint with the whole angle is that I enjoyed Randy and Bray together as a tag team so much that I was disappointed when they finally broke up. I would have loved to see those two stay together for another year or two and just dominate the main event scene. I love a good faction. But that was probably never a viable long-term option anyways so I'm more than happy with how this feud has developed.
For their WrestleMania match, I think this is a match that Bray Wyatt needs to win. Randy Orton is a made man. I wouldn't mind seeing him have another championship run as I think he and his character still have a lot to offer, but at this point in his career Randy is a made man. You can't say the same yet about Bray Wyatt. After years of losing big match after big match, this championship run of his can't be cut short. He needs to continue this title reign to continue to rebuild his credibility. I don't think it's there yet.
Winner: Bray Wyatt
