For those of you who are also friends with Jake Mohling on Twitter or Facebook, you know you have to sit through a lot of his inspirational coaching crap on social media. I mean it's just one coaching tweet or leadership post after another. I know I shouldn't be one to criticize others on how they use social media since I have a cooking show, run a Sup? Tournament, and do a bunch of other dumb stuff all the time on Facebook and Twitter. But oh well, Mohling's posts can be exhausting at times.
But occasionally Jake does post something worth reading or watching. Like once a month I'd say. Today was actually one of those days. The video is posted below but it's a quick Iowa Public Television spot about Elle Ruffridge, Iowa's new 5-on-5 girls basketball scoring leader.
She plays for Pocahontas high school and set the scoring record earlier this season. I grew up 11 miles from Pocahontas so it's fun to see a local athlete have that type of success. I've never met Elle or gotten the opportunity to watch her play but I did get to coach against her dad and umpire many of his baseball games. He's a great guy and I'm sure his daughter is great as well, everything you read and hear about Elle supports that. So take a look at this quick video about her if you get a chance.
Big game tonight for the Badgers. The hated Iowa Hawkeyes roll into the Kohl Center. Needs to be a bounce back game for Bucky. Time to right the ship.

I'm sure a long review will be coming tomorrow.
