- Being a teacher, the summer gives me quite a bit of free time to binge watch television shows. My first show of the summer was Newsroom. I had watched Season One previously (over Spring Break I believe) so I was ready to jump into Season Two. The problem, however, was that for some reason I had thought I had already watched Season Two so I jumped right into Season Three, the final season. There were some things in that first episode of Season Three I felt I was missing but I just figured it had been awhile since I watched Season One so I wasn't remembering those things well and they'd come back to me. About mid-way through second episode I figured it out and realized the mistake I'd made.
So I plan on going back and watching Season Two in the near future but I was still able to enjoy the third season. Found it to be an easy and enjoyable watch. My only real regret, other than the whole "skipping an entire season" part, was that I did not realize the final season was only 6 episodes. After episode six I went to go watch the next one and it the season was over, which was also the series finale apparently. Wish I would have known that going in. Seasons One and Two were both 9 or 10 episodes I think. So that caught me off guard. So while I really enjoyed the series, I really screwed up on how I watched it.
- Tough couple days for Steph Curry. After riding a pretty average playoff run so far, Steph had just a brutal bordering on embarrassing Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The unanimous MVP winner hasn't even been the best player on his team for most of the playoffs, especially in the conference and NBA finals. Not being much of a Curry fan myself, I was set to use this section to start ripping into how he was playing. But then yesterday Steph's new shoe went viral and it was probably worse than any game he's played so far in the playoffs.
Take a couple minutes to Google "Steph Curry Shoes" or "Steph Curry Shoes Dad Jokes" and see what you find. Here's a quick example here. Some of these were really good. I actually like the shoes myself but they are pretty plain. And I definitely wouldn't pay $119 for them.
- Long time readers of the Three Count (one day) know that my golf game had really started to turn the corner recently. I was playing some of my best golf of the summer and was starting to become a legitimate contender for the Erv Cup at the 2016 Miller Masters. But then yesterday happened and brought me right back down to reality. After shooting a 41 (+5) the day before I went out and put up a 48 (+12). Couldn't control the drive and my chipping was inconsistent at best. Doesn't look like I'll get out on the course Friday or over the weekend, so need to find a way to get back on track next week.
