Big game for the Blue Devils today. They travel to 14th ranked Louisville to play the Cardinals. With two losses in the conference already a third would really put Duke into a large hole in conference play. To make matters more difficult, Duke will have to win in the YUM! Center without head coach Mike Krzyweski who is out with a back injury and without star guard Grayson Allen who was suspended again after pushing a Florida State coach in their loss on Tuesday.
Oh wait, that's right....Duke didn't take any public punishment for Allen after SHOVING AN OPPOSING TEAM'S coach. This was the team who suspended him "indefinitely" for tripping an opposing player and throwing a temper-tantrum on the bench, but won't take any public action for SHOVING AN OPPOSING TEAM'S coach. To me, I think the shoving of a coach is a little worse than tripping a player but maybe not. I'm sure playing in a near "must-win" game on the road against a ranked team had no barring in the non-suspension decision though. Way to stay consistent Coach K!
Joel is becoming a little bit of a internet cult icon. Not sure I'm on board with everything but he's been playing really well as of late since returning from his injury that kept him off the floor for most of his first two seasons. But now it looks like he's trying to get into the WWE's good graces. Sign me up. Here was his pregame intro from last night's game. I loved it.
That was always the term thrown around after the presidential election. Both parties would work to make sure it as a "peaceful transition" from President Obama to President Elect Trump. I'd venture to say that didn't work out too well. And forget about peaceful, this transition period has been aggressive, scandalous, controversial, and chaotic. Another great display of America's two-party system at work in my eyes.
I don't care which side you fall on, Republican, Democrat, or other; this is an embarrassment how this transition has been handled. I can only imagine how we are being perceived by other countries right now. I'm sure we look like a circus. We're better than this. But then again, maybe we aren't
