Sorry for picking against you and your Celtics in the first round of the playoffs. I thought your team was one of the worst one-seeds in NBA history and primed to be upset. I thought the Bulls were a team that could make a push if they got into the playoffs. I was pretty confident in that prediction at the start of the series when the Bulls embarrassed you on your home floor for two games and clearly looked like the better team.
But I really underestimated your coaching abilities. While I was only looking at the lack of star power and playoff-ready talent on your roster, I overlooked your ability to injure the player on the opposing team that was killing you guys. I didn't think you had that in your arsenal but clearly you did. That's some Dumbledore-shit right there and I'm impressed. With Rondo out for the rest of the series, you guys were able to handle your business and discard of the eight-seeded Bulls. Well played.
Ran my first 5K of the year today at the Drake Relays. Kind of a spur of the moment type deal . Was suppose to help out at a tennis tournament this morning but that got rained out so I decided to enter myself in this race to start off my New Year's Resolution of running five 5Ks or 10Ks. First officially time of the year --- 28:46.
My goal was to get under 30 minutes for my first run and I accomplished that so I'm happy. My goal is to get under 25 minutes by the time I run my last 5K of the year. So all in all a good start and I was pleased with how I did....
Until I started looking at other people's results online. Apparently I lost to at least fifteen kids under the age of 13. I don't know who these 10 year old girls are that are ripping out sub 25-minute 5K's but apparently there are a couple of them out there. Guess I have a ways to go.
The President of the United States of America referred to a United States Senator as "Pocahontas" yesterday. I admittedly didn't watch much television yesterday but that didn't seem to gain much attention in the news cycle. Amazing. The President of the United States of America mockingly called a woman Pocahontas and we are so numb to it that it's glossed over. Imagine the outrage if any other President ever had done that. The new normal is here.
