I did a little NBA Playoffs preview over in the Sports section of the blog. Here it is if you'd like to read it.
An underrated great part of NHL Playoff hockey is getting used to the new guys on your team from last year's NHL Playoffs. I don't think I'm alone when I say I'm the type of hockey fan that only watches games during the playoffs. Playoff hockey is pretty entertaining and regular season hockey can be pretty monotonous to watch on TV. So really the only time I lock in on the NHL is during their playoffs.
So last night I got back into hockey when the Chicago Blackhawks opened up their playoff series against Nashville. They dropped the contest 1-0 to fall behind in their series. My main goal was to figure out who the new players for Chicago were from last season and try to determine if they are any good. I really know next to nothing about hockey so me determining if a hockey player is any good or not is really just how often I hear the announcer say their name. So I'm a big enough Blackhawks fan to recognize the stallwarts of the team Keith, Toews, Kane, Crawford, Uduya, Hossa, and Seabrook. Apparently Chicago also added some new guys to their roster as well this season. Tootoo and Hartman seemed to be said a lot and caught my eye. Just like the players in the series though, I'm getting used to playoff hockey as well now.
Completely missed this during the week but we are officially over 100 Three Counts for the year so far. Think we haven't posted the Three Count two times so far this year so with today being the 104th day of the year I believe this would be the 102nd Three Count of the year, if that math checks out.
My original New Year's Resolution was to write at least 100 Three Counts. Since we've passed that I'm sure we will continue on. Not sure if it will continue to be daily for the most part but I'd like to get to 300 or so Three Counts by the time the year finishes. Thanks for all of you that continue to read and visit the site!
