Little known fact but the NFL season officially kicked off last night. The Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers in a Super Bowl rematch 21-20 after Graham Gano missed a field goal in the closing seconds. Since we are officially in season, it's time for me to bust out my NFL Playoff Predictions for this year. I'll name the winner of each division, the wild card teams, and how the playoffs will shake out. Contact your bookie immediately.
AFC East: New England Patriots
Until someone else proves to me they can win this division when the Patriots are healthy I'm going to keep picking New England to win it.
AFC North: Pittsburgh Steelers
Close call here for me between the Bengals or Steelers but I'll buy into the Steelers hype and take them. Whoever doesn't win should get a wild card berth at least.
AFC South: Indianapolis Colts
Good lord this division is poor. I'm not buying into all the Jacksonville hype some people are throwing around. I'm not sure the Colts will be good, but when in doubt I'll ride the best QB in the division.
AFC West: Kansas City Cheifs
I could see the Cheifs, Broncos, or Raiders all winning this division. Which means I think two get into the playoffs and one gets left out. Could be an interesting last couple weeks in this division towards the end of the season.
AFC Wild Cards: Bengals, Broncos
NFC East: Washington Redskins
This was Dallas' division for the taking before the Romo injury. With him out and Dak in, I think that opens the door for Kirk Cousins and the Redskins to take the division.
NFC North: Green Bay Packers
With Jordy Nelson healthy again and Teddy Bridgewater out for the season I think the power in this division shifts back to Green Bay this year.
NFC South: Carolina Panthers
If Cam Newton keeps taking hits like he did last night, I can't see him making it through all 16 games this year...which would open this division up. If he stays healthy though, they run away with this division.
NFC West: Arizona Cardinals
My toughest call of the eight divisions between Arizona and Seattle but I give the edge to Arizona. Feels like they are trending up while Seattle may slightly be trending down.
NFC Wild Cards: Seahawks, Cowboys
AFC Championship Game: New England over Kansas City
NFC Championship Game: Arizona over Carolina
Super Bowl Champions: Arizona Cardinals
